P. Diddy got turned away from his own party last week.
The music mogul - real name Sean Combs - was due to host a bash at New Jersey's Atlantic City in celebration
of Independence Day but was barred from getting into the event because security staff didn't recognise him.
He tweeted: "The party was so crazy I couldn't even get in. Ten thousand people showed up. Damn I was ready to party!"
However, according to one onlooker, the reason the 'Hello Good Morning' hitmaker didn't make it into the bash was not because of the thousands of revellers who descended upon the event, but because the "dopey" doormen had no idea who he was.
The insider told Britain's The Daily Mirror newspaper: "Some of the doormen were so dopey they didn't recognise Diddy and refused to let him in - even though he was supposed to entertain the crowd."
The rapper is known around the globe for his lavish parties.

Continuing to recycle the same handful of dudes on a rather prolific basis, Audrina Patridge is reportedly dating Corey Bohan again, according to reports.
Hey, whatever works for a soon-to-be-unemployed reality TV star.
She recently broke up with Ryan Cabrera, and was pretending to have all these feelings for Justin-Bobby for the fourth consecutive season on The Hills.
But it's Aussie BMX biker Corey who has won her heart. This minute.
The two appeared together at Saturday series wrap party for The Hills, which goes off the air tonight, and according to insiders, were more than friendly!
A close source confirms: "They are totally back together. They were so cute at the party. He had his arm around her and they both looked really happy."
Nice to see they've patched things up.
