Spiderman's iconic red and blue suit is to be filled by a new actor.
Taking over from Tobey Maguire, rising talent Andrew Garfield will play Peter Parker in the next instalment of the popular film franchise, which will travel back in time to depict the superhero's youth.
Mark Webb of (500) Days of Summer fame will direct the still unnamed project, and thinks Andrew is the perfect choice for the part.
"Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor's work understand his extraordinary talents," Mark comments.

The 34-year-old comic star - who is set to marry 'California Gurls' hitmaker Katy Perry in the autumn - and his friends will be the "merry men" at the bash, which is held to mark the end of a man's bachelor status.
He explained: "I'll do adventurous things and activities. My friend who is my best man says we're going to go white-water rafting and shoot arrows.
"We'll be like merry men. Perhaps we'll become outlaws, bandits for a while."

Amanda Peet ditched out on The Late Show with David Letterman Tuesday.
Unlike Sen. John McCain, who Letterman famously chided for ditching him on multiple occasions, we doubt he'll give Amanda a hard time for her excuse:
She went into labor early and delivered daughter Molly June Benioff!
The actress, who announced she was pregnant again in December, had been scheduled to appear on the Late Show to promote her upcoming film, Please Give, but instead late Monday she welcomed her second child.
"Mother and daughter are doing great," Peet's rep says. Peet and screenwriter husband David Benioff. also have a 3-year-old daughter, Frances, who is especially excited to meet the family's newest addition.
